WayPROP Curable Resin-Coated Proppants


Wayfinder’s curable resin-coated proppants provide excellent proppant flowback control, as well as increasing conductivity by encapsulating the fines generated under cyclic closure stress through the life of the well. The combination of these properties ultimately lowers the cost per BOE.

WayPROP coating is designed to resist curing and bonding until the right temperature and closure stress is applied. The substrate of WayPROP can either be a high-quality Northern White or Regional sand.

WayPROP H is recommended for stresses up to 15,000 psi, and formation temperatures between 70 and 230°C. Available in 20/40, 30/50 and 40/70 mesh.

WayPROP L is recommended for stress applications up to 11,000 psi, and formation temperatures between 30 and 70°C. Available in 20/40, 30/50 and 40/70 mesh.

Wayfinder’s curable proppants are manufactured at our state-of-the-art Obed coating facility, east of Hinton. This site provides high-speed transloading capabilities for natural and coated frac sand. Our curable proppants are available from the Obed facility as well as many other strategic locations around the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

Every batch of WayPROP is sampled and analysed according to API/ISO specifications. This stringent analytical work is provided at both the Obed facility, and the R&D center in Calgary, ensuring the highest quality of WayPROP products.
