WayPROP Curable Resin-Coated Proppants

 
 

Wayfinder’s curable resin-coated proppants provide excellent proppant flowback control and increase conductivity by encapsulating the fines generated under closure stress. The combination of these properties ultimately lowers the cost per BOE. WayProp’s coating is designed to resist curing and bonding until the right temperature and closure stress is applied.

The substrate of WayProp H is a premium Northern White sand. WayProp H is recommended for stresses up to 15,000 psi and formation temperatures between 70 and 230°C, available in 20/40, 30/50 and 40/70 mesh.

The substrate of WayProp L can either be a high-quality Northern White or Regional sand, produced by Wayfinder Corp. WayProp L is recommended for stresses applications up to 8,000 psi and formation temperatures between 30 and 70°C, available in 20/40, 30/50 and 40/70 mesh.

The curable proppants are manufactured at Wayfinder’s state-of-the-art Obed coating facility east of Hinton. The site provides high-speed transloading capabilities for natural and coated frac sand and exclusive access to a bridge crossing the Athabasca river, providing direct access to the Deep Basin.

Produced batches of WayProp and transloaded natural frac sand are sampled and analysed according to ISO / API specifications. The stringent analytical work is provided at both the Obed facility and the R&D center in Calgary, ensuring the highest quality of WayPROP.
