Pull for Wishes 2026 Raises Over $310,000 for Make-A-Wish Canada

On September 24 at McMahon Stadium in Calgary, AB, STEP joined the energy industry as One Team for their fourth year of Pull for Wishes. This year, team members and supporters came together to raise over $310,000 for Make-A-Wish Canada, surpassing last year's total by more than $100,000. Congratulations to One Team for helping make this year's event a tremendous success through their outstanding fundraising efforts, teamwork, and commitment to the cause.

This year, our team had representation across all three brands: STEP, Sanjel, and Wayfinder, demonstrating our hard work and what's possible when we come together as one.

The final scores were:

  • Trican: 42.52

  • STEP: 43.02

  • Halliburton: 44.53

  • Liberty: 44.53

Event Impact for Make-a-Wish Canada

Together, One Team delivered an outstanding performance both on and off the field, raising $94,793.50, our highest fundraising total to date and the second-highest total among participating teams. An additional $3,000 donation from Collicutt Energy Services in recognition of our second-place fundraising finish brought even more support to this important cause. Together, all four teams helped exceed the event goal of $250,000, allowing Make-A-Wish to grant approximately 30 wishes to children across Southern Alberta.

  • Our One Team Captain received their wish in a previous year and came back to be an integral part of our team. They received some STEP promo, candies and a truck set, while taking part in the kids truck pull mid-way through the event.

  • One Team won the second fastest pull team. One Team pulled their hardest and did us proud. Congratulations to everyone on the team, and thank you for your efforts.

Overall, Pull for Wishes 2026 was a successful day. We look forward to Pull for Wishes 2027.
