Chad Bremner

PRESIDENT & CEO

Chad was a leader at Schlumberger; he took on a variety of domestic and international roles. He was the President & CEO of Kudu Industries, a Calgary-based, Schlumberger owned progressing cavity pumps manufacturer. Prior to Schlumberger, Chad owned several entrepreneurial small businesses. He is community oriented and has stakeholder relations experience. Chad holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Regina.

Paul Petten

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Paul’s career has spanned both the E&P and oilfield service industries. His career began in the field with Baytex Energy, during which Paul gained an inside knowledge of the operational needs of E&P companies. Paul transitioned into Business Development with Kudu Industries, a division of Schlumberger. Paul’s technical background and client focus led to his next role as Technology Manager, a role that encompassed both sales and operations. Paul is a Petroleum Engineering Technologist.

Michael Burnyeat

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Prior to Wayfinder, Michael held positions of CFO at Redrock Camps and was the Executive VP & CFO at Black Diamond Group. Michael is experienced in the insurance, technology and oilfield services sectors. Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce. He is a Chartered Accountant and a CFA Charter holder. Michael serves on the Board of Directors of CFA Society Calgary and the CPA Alberta Education Foundation.

Thomas Urbanek

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Thomas’ mandate is the development of proppant materials and coatings. Before Wayfinder, Thomas was VP R&D and President at Polymer Science Corporation, and VP R&D at Global Synfrac and Klaris Corporation. Thomas graduated from the University of Düsseldorf with a Ph.D. in chemistry. Thomas has written many peer-reviewed scientific publications and has developed patentable IP related to every technology he was involved in.

Douglas Freel | Director and Chairman

Douglas is currently a Managing Director at ARC Financial Corporation. Douglas is focused on the oilfield services segment of ARC’s oil and gas investments. He currently represents ARC as Chairman of the boards of Sanjel Energy Services, Citadel Drilling Ltd., Lifting Solutions Energy Services, Wayfinder and STEP Energy Services Ltd. Douglas has over two decades of oilfield services industry experience in engineering and investment roles.

Shane Hooker | Director

Shane is a Wayfinder co-founder. He is currently President and CEO of Sanjel Energy Services. Shane is a professional engineer with over twenty years of energy services experience in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. A member of The Association of Professional Engineers, Geoscientists of Alberta, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Shane holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an Advanced Executive Certificate in Management.

Bill Slavin | Director

Bill is a Managing Director at ARC Financial Corporation, and plays a key role overseeing and actively driving ARC’s investment activities. His responsibilities include deal origination, structuring, monitoring and exit. Bill currently represents ARC on the boards of Deltastream Energy Corporation, Lifting Solutions Energy Services, Wayfinder Corp., and Shiningstar Energy Ltd. Bill holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science.

Peter Christopher | Board Observer

Peter is Vice President of ARC Financial Corp. He has several years’ experience in the E&P sector. Peter is focused on the origination, structuring and execution of new investment opportunities in the Canadian oilfield services industry. His responsibilities include monitoring and providing support to ARC’s portfolio companies through all stages of their life. Peter has a Bachelor of Commerce and is a CFA charter holder.
